About the School
The Department of English was established in the year 1986. It started functioning as a supportive department handling Part II English for all UG programmes. The department flourished to a paramount level with B.A. English Literature in 2010, M.A. English in 2011 and Research Programmes with the team of well kempt faculty members.
The global demand for English has been felt by nations far and near. As a response to the call of RVS, a specialised B.A. English programme for the Chinese Students was introduced in the academic year 2009-2010.
We provide outstanding curriculum to enhance the skills of the students in relation to the fundamentals in their programme. ‘Arethusa’ – our Literary Club serves the purpose through enactment of plays, composing poetry, versification and elocution.
