Undergraduate Programs
Duration: 3 years full time, six semesters (including project)
Intake: Only One intake per year, every year in the month of May/June
Entry Requirements:Candidate for admission to the first year of the B. Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics degree course shall be required to have passed the higher secondary examination conducted by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu with a) Chemistry and Botany / Zoology / Biology / Computer Science / Bio Chemistry b) HSC passed with Nutrition and Dietetics / Home Science / Child Care Psychology / Nursing/ Child Care Nutrition as one of the papers only eligible or other examinations accepted as equivalent there to by the Syndicate, subject to such other conditions as may be prescribed therefore.

    Dietetics
    Community nutrition
  • Course Breakup
    I Year:
    Students learn the basics of Nutrition through papers like Human Physiology, Food Science and Principles of Nutrition which will enable them have a sound foundation.
    II Year:
    The second year focuses on enhancing their knowledge in Nutrition for different age groups. They also acquire knowledge in food processing through Post Harvest Technology and Food packaging.
    III Year:
    Application oriented papers like Dietetics, Food Quality Control and Food Preservation are taught from which the students can choose a career after the course.
